Michigan has a program that provides financial assistance to families who care for their children at home who have severe disabilities and/or autism, called the Family Support Subsidy Program. The subsidy can help pay for special expenses the family has while caring for their child such as additional therapies, special equipment, transportation costs, respite care, food, diapers, and general household expenses.
