Copper Country Mental Health, a four-county community mental health center, is recruiting for a dynamic, creative, empowering, and organized nutrition and physical activity enthusiast to help individuals with serious mental illness to develop nutrition and fitness goals that will support their recovery.

This position is funded through September of 2024, with potential funding extended another 2 years. Hours are a flexible 25-30 hours/week. This position will be based in Houghton but the individual will primarily work in the field throughout the Copper Country becoming an expert at local fitness and nutrition resources and connecting individuals to these resources.

A degree in human services, communications, health care, education, or relevant equivalent education/experience and the ability to travel locally is required. Prior experience working with persons with disabilities is desired, but not essential. Other requirements include strong organization skills, written and spoken communication skills, basic business computer skills, and experience that demonstrates capacity to successfully lead a project with a great deal of independence.
